Report of the Thirteenth Conference of the Contracting Parties to the Convention for Cooperation in the Protection, Management and Development of the Marine Environment and the Coastal Areas of the Atlantic Coast of West, Central and Southern African Region
The continental shelf west of Cape Three Points in Ghana is an area that has been identified as having prevailing favourable oceanographic conditions such as right temperature, salinity and nutrient-rich upwelling waters suitable for high productivity of fish food (phyto- and zooplankton).
As part of the implementation of the Integrated Management of the Marine and Coastal Area from Abidjan to Assinie (GIAMAA) project, the State of the Marine Environment (SoME) was assessed in Côte d’Ivoire.
