Communication and knowledge sharing
The pilot project is aimed at raising public awareness and sharing the assessment’s outputs, as well as developing stronger networks with other partner members of the various thematic working groups. The project reports to the Abidjan Convention secretariat.
Monitoring
A monitoring and evaluation (M&E) plan is being developed to guide the project and its reporting.
Funding
The pilot project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) through the Mami Wata project´s support to the Abidjan Convention, as well as by the Government of Ghana.

The Ivorian Anti-Pollution Center (CIAPOL), a structure under the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, and the Abidjan Convention, organized from October 25-27 2021 at the Regional Episcopal Conference of West Africa (CERAO) a workshop for the pre-validation of the report on the marine spatial plan of Grand-Bassam.
Finalizing the draft report on the Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) of Grand-Bassam, Côte d’Ivoire, was the objective of the workshop that brought together the 10 members of the MSP scientific team from September 27 to October 2. 2021 in Bonoua.
